Updated May 2026 · OEM Size: 235/45R18
The Honda Accord 2024 comes from the factory with 235/45R18 tires — a size optimized for its specific weight, suspension geometry, and performance envelope. Installing the wrong size can trigger TPMS warnings, affect fuel economy by up to 4%, and in worst cases compromise handling at highway speeds.
South Florida's climate adds another variable: heat-soaked asphalt regularly hits 150°F in summer, and hurricane season brings torrential rain that demands serious hydroplaning resistance. The tires on this list excel in both conditions.
The CrossClimate2 earns our top spot by being genuinely excellent in every condition — dry, wet, and even light snow. Its V-shaped tread with thermal adaptive compound maintains grip when South Florida roads get slick. The 60,000-mile treadwear warranty makes it exceptional value over time.
Rating: 4.8/5 (9,200+ reviews)
Warranty: 60,000 miles
Best for: Daily driving, year-round South Florida use
Continental's 80,000-mile warranty makes the TrueContact Tour 54 the longest-lasting tire on this list. EcoContact technology reduces rolling resistance, translating to measurable fuel savings over 50,000+ miles. Quiet ride makes it ideal for highway commuters.

Warranty: 80,000 miles

Goodyear's latest WeatherReady 2 sets a new benchmark for wet-road confidence. Its Weather Reactive Technology compound stiffens in wet conditions for enhanced grip — critical during South Florida's afternoon thunderstorms. Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake rated for safety.
Rating: 4.6/5 (3,200+ reviews)
Warranty: 60,000 miles
Best for: Rainy season driving, hurricane preparedness

The Honda Accord 2024 is factory-fitted with these tire sizes:
Always verify your exact size on the driver's door jamb sticker before ordering. Trim level affects wheel size — the sport trim often uses wider wheels than the base model.
Heat rating matters more in Florida than anywhere else in the continental US. Look for Speed Rating H (130mph) or higher, which indicates superior heat dissipation. All tires on our list meet or exceed this threshold.
For hurricane preparedness: tires with wet traction ratings of A (the highest on the UTQG scale) perform significantly better in standing water — a common post-storm scenario in South Florida.
